Associate Director of Children’s Ministry
Ooltewah United Methodist in Ooltewah, Tennessee is seeking a part-time Director of Children’s Ministry (DCM). Ooltewah UMC is a centrally located church in a growing community with a cohesive family ministries program from birth to college.
A qualified applicant should have a college degree ( or be working towards one or have equivalent ministry experience), previous children’s ministry experience, be technologically savvy, have a passion for connecting with and developing students and their families growing Christians, the emotional and relational maturity to relate to children, parents, and adult volunteers, and possess (or be willing to learn/teach) a Wesleyan/Methodist theological approach to youth ministry and theology.
We strive to connect children to small group leaders and follow a small group model. Children are encouraged to ask questions and explore in a welcoming and understanding environment.
